Instituto Universitario de Biología Molecular

The IUBM funds the best oral and best poster presentation at the XIII Pre- and Postdoctoral Meeting at CBM.

This year the awards went to

Best Oral Communication: Inés García Ortiz, for her talk entitled “Integration of genomics, transcriptomics and epigenomics reveals biological insights into suicide attempts.”

Best Poster Communication: María Martín Rico, for her work entitled “HSV-1 triggers Alzheimer-like neurodegenerative markers in glial cells: protective role of lactoferrin.”

We would like to congratulate the organizing committee and all participants for the high quality of the presentations. We are also delighted to take part in this initiative, which promotes scientific excellence and training at the CBM.

Once again this year, the IUBM supports the Pre- and Postdoctoral Meeting at CBM.

We are proud to once again fund the Best Oral Communication and Best Poster Awards at the CBM Pre- and Postdoctoral Meeting, recognizing outstanding research by early-career scientists.

The event is just around the corner, and the full programme is now available here.

One of this year’s highlights is a series of interesting hands-on workshops:

  • Image Analysis with FIJI/ImageJ
  • Crochet Your Own Neuron
  • Science Communication & Outreach
  • Pelvic Floor Workshop: Your Core in Motion
  • Career Paths After Your Thesis
  • Interactive Data Visualization

We look forward to seeing you at the meeting!
